Who We Are

Family Development & Samaritan Foundation was founded in 2003 as a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization. We exist to advance the lives of individuals and families by being a voice to the voiceless in order for them to lead meaningful and impactful lives. We have covered several projects in different communities and countries that have brought significant change to the lives of those we serve. With continuous involvement in serving the community, FDSF has aided and impacted many families throughout the nations.

Our philosophy is that, “success is not only the attainment of knowledge and skills but also the impact made with what has been attained.”

Meet Our Founders

Dr. Tayo and Sarah Emmanuel, founders of FDSF, grew up in an environment where they encountered several children homeless, deprived of food and shelter, and many more who were orphans. Without hesitating, both Dr. Tayo and Sarah Emmanuel made a decision to dedicate their lives to live a life of service, where they can positively transform the lives of many.

With that decision,  Dr. Emmanuel spearheads several projects that create a magnitude of positive responses from the youth. He that the youth in this generation are the agents of change the world is looking for. Similarly, president Sarah Emmanuel, uses her skills as an educator and an environmentalist to advocate for individuals and families across the globe.

Both Dr. Tayo and Sarah Emmanuel envision a world of love, growth, and advancement for marginalized and underserved persons. They make this vision a reality through their exemplary service in local, national, and global communities. By using their skills and expertise, Dr. Tayo and Sarah Emmanuel ardently work towards aiding orphans, educating young women and girls, and providing pregnant mothers and low-income families with sustainable resources.

Our Mission

Strengthening and developing families through impactful initiatives

Providing ressources and opportunities to individuals and families from low socio-economic backgrounds

Empowering and fostering the lives of women and girls through quality education, mentorship, and guidance

Implementing literacy programs that assist in bridging the educational achievement gap; providing instructional intervention for the youth.

Last year alone, we reached more than 20,000 children and families with the help of corporate, foundation and individual donors. This is to show that we are not alone. Our partners work hand in hand with our team to ensure that we provide the best resources to those in need.
