Position Title: LadiesT.A.L.K Communications Manager
Employment Term: 1 Year (min. 10 hours - max. 15 hours weekly)
Reports to: Assistant Program Director(s)
Salary: Unpaid Internship / Volunteer
LadiesT.A.L.K is a platform designed to educate, mentor, and empower women that desire to break free from circumstances that undervalue their potentials or undermine their creativity. LadiesT.A.L.K's goal is to help women become (Top-Notch, Accomplished, Leader, Knowledgeable) women they are destined to be. We are seeking high energy individuals to help with our membership platform for women around the world. This membership provides resources to ladies for their professional and personal development, making opportunities accessible to people in marginalized societies.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Communications Manager(s):
Communicate with Research Team, Monthly Meeting Team, and Social Media Managers to provide reports needed for membership communication.
Responsible for creating, scheduling, and distributing all email communication.
Assist Social Media Managers with developing/implementing a comprehensive email and social media strategy and creating efficient workflow processes and content calendars.
Design email banners and templates, e-newsletter templates, digital lightboxes and social media graphics.
Help to create and maintain database lists for targeted emails.
Write compelling copies for LadiesT.A.L.K newsletters, fundraising campaigns, and email communications.
Contributes to LadiesT.A.L.K media outreach efforts, including drafting pitching stories and press announcements.
Maintains and produces reports on digital analytics and uses metrics to adapt and improve content strategy and audience targeting.
Provides quality control (including proofreading) for all digital communications.
Assist with the writing and preparation of technical assistance materials, newsletters, research papers, PowerPoint presentations, blog posts, social media posts, website content, and other written product relating to LadiesT.A.L.K.
Collaborate with Research Team Leads to develop and maintain consistent communications and branding strategies for LadiesT.A.L.K Membership Program, along with emailing/communicating key benefits that the Membership Program provides.
Working with team to create bi-weekly reports and upload reports to Microsoft Teams.
Assist with the planning of the annual LadiesT.A.L.K Conference, include developing an agenda, writing event itinerary, and communication emails for conference attendees.

Confident in communicating with new people from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrate keen use of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams, and Outlook.
Excellent orientation to detail, deadlines, and organizational and time management skills
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Knowledge and experience, or willingness to learn design and communications software (Adobe In-Design, Canva, Constant Contact, etc). This will be used in collaboration with Social Media Managers and Communications Managers.
Must be comfortable with deadlines and have a reliable working computer or laptop.
Must always present a professional demeanor.
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, creative environment and workplace while contributing to a well-respected, high-functioning group of go-getters.
Committed to lifelong learning and curiosity.
Able to attend mandatory training
Able to participate in team meetings
Some flexibility with nights and weekends
This internship opportunity is 100% virtual. Volunteers will utilize Microsoft Teams and Outlook to communicate with their team members.
*Although this is advertised as an unpaid volunteer internship opportunity, students can use this opportunity to receive credits for their courses or Capstone programs. Stipends will be provided to students based on program funds.
